  To maximize its benefits, the 14 Mukhi Rudraksha must be worn correctly: 
  
  

  
  
  1. Purification: Cleanse the bead with Gangajal (holy water) or raw milk overnight.
  
  
  2. Energizing Mantra: On a Monday or Saturday morning, after bathing, chant the mantra "Om Hreem Namah" or "Om Namah Shivaya" or "Om Hanumate Namah" 108 times.
  
  
  3. Wearing: It can be worn around the neck in a silk/wool thread or capped in gold/silver, ensuring it touches the skin. Some texts suggest touching it to the forehead daily or wearing it as a pendant to activate the Ajna Chakra.

     Precautions: The wearer should avoid non-vegetarian food and alcohol. The bead should ideally be removed before sleeping or visiting a cremation ground. .
